Immersed in a quiet area of this town in the Agrigento province, within a Mediterranean garden of about 2.100 sqm. and just a kilometer far from the beach, the house offers a magnificent view on the wide horizon that lets the gaze get lost in a thousand shades of blue during the day – shades that turn into a true painter’s palette at sunset.
Villa Licata is perfect for those who love open air: besides the wide lush garden, two terraces are available to enjoy the scent of the sea breeze as you stare at the astonishing panorama in front of you. And at the same time the house has perfectly-organized inside spaces that ensure comfort and functionality. Both floors have a kitchen and a wide living-room full of light with – at the ground floor – a charming, romantic, fireplace. The ground floor also has a master bedroom and a bathroom with tub, whereas the first floor has two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and a study with en-suite bathroom. Moreover, the house is equipped with two stand-alone guest apartments with bathroom and shower, and in one those apartments a kitchen; outside, together with the two beautiful terraces, there is a wide veranda, a garage and plenty of space for external car parking.

Licata and surroundings
Licata is right in front of the Mediterranean sea, with a 20-kilometers seashore: its beaches are sandy in the East, whereas cobblestone beaches alternate with bays, cliffs and promontories in the West – some of the most beautiful corners of the whole southern Sicilian shore. Just like a wide number of other towns in the island, Licata has a long history of dominations of different cultures that have left wonderful traces of their presence here: from the lighthouse (one of the tallest in Italy) to Sant’Angelo Castle, built by the Spanish in the Sixteenth century, from the beautiful Palazzo di Città, realized over a project of the great liberty architect Ernesto Basile, to the Santa Maria La Nuova baroque church. Religious celebrations for Easter are particularly intense and are not to be missed, together with the delicious typical “muffuletti”, special bread realized with flour, spices, cinnamon and aniseed. And then Agrigento, with its ancient history, its magnificent Valley of the Temples and the wonderful scenario of Scala dei Turchi in Realmonte is less than 50 kilometers away; heading East you’ll easily reach the enchanting cities of Modica (with its delicious chocolate) and Noto, a true pearl of Sicilian baroque.
