About property
A walk through history: that’s what you will experience while staying in the wonderful medieval town of Erice, one of the oldest (8th – 7th century BC) in the whole Mediterranean. Here sacred and profane met in the wrinkles of time giving life to the most fascinating folklore (just think of the ancient cult of sacred prostitution of the priestesses of the temple of Venus).
A precious experience, that will be enhanced if you’re going to explore the many other historical sites that lie within reach, not mentioning the natural beauty of the surroundings and, of course, the clear blue sea, which is just 10 km from the town.
Take a walk through the old medieval gate and then to the square of the Mother Church (14th century), along the main street, paved with the typical stones of the area, the so called “balate”, and surrounded by astonishing Baroque buildings.
Follow the fragrant aromas coming from the antique pastry shops, where you will taste the original flavour of the traditional recipes, handed down from one generation to another for over a hundred years; try asking for a “genovese” or some of the mouth-watering Sicilian almond pastries. Then take your time visiting the nice little workshops and stores, selling ceramics, hand-made rugs and other typical handicrafts, the perfect gift to bring back from a visit to Sicily!
And, finally, here is your holiday home, a perfectly restored one hundred years old building, facing the monastery of San Salvatore (14th century): among our historical villas in Sicily, it surely offers one the most fascinating views!
Let the warm Sicilian sun kiss you and take a look out from the large internal terrace, accessible from the top floor, you will remain speechless before the endless blue of the merging sky and sea, and the scene offered by the medieval arches of the old monastery.
On the ground floor you will find a cozy living area, with a terracotta and majolica floor, a pretty kitchen overlooking the terrace, and a bathroom with shower.
The first floor has a double bedroom and a single bedroom, with fine floors of Sicilian majolica and parquet.
On the second floor you’ll find another double bedroom, again with typical Sicilian majolica and parquet, along with another bathroom.
The dèpandance is positioned on the ground floor and consists in double bedroom, bathroom with the shower, kitchenette and living room.
