About property
Such a lovely villa, so close to the sea! This typical seafront house is just 200 meters far from a pretty rocky bay with an effortless access to the deep blue sea. A quiet retreat covering a 2,400-square-meter area, with a 1,000-square-meter garden, perfectly tended and enriched with typical Mediterranean and exotic plants as well as a picturesque olive grove.
“Sicilianity” can be perceived from every corner, both inside and outside the villa. Two kitchens, one next to the living room and one outside, under the lovely covered terrace, are both decorated with the most typical majolica tiles, following the classic Sicilian ceramics art; the garden is typically Mediterranean, and the colors and furnishing really contribute to the Sicilian personality of the whole house.
A well-tended meadow surrounds the 12×6-meter swimming pool, and there is plenty of space all around to relax, whether resting under the shade of olive trees or soaking in the sun. The porch is an absolute delight: there is plenty of space for pretty lounge areas, while the arches let the light in, but keep the area shady and fresh. A 25-square-meter terrace is available as well, together with with a 16-square-meter home-made kitchen with pretty light-blue and white majolica tiles, that provides the perfect space for al-fresco dining, including a beautiful large table with wooden benches.
Interiors are just as welcoming as the outdoors: the living room is a lovely blend of cozy and rustic, with its wooden furniture and a fully-equipped home-made kitchen decorated with ceramics. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are available inside, and there is an exterior shower close to the pool.
The house covers a 115-square-meter area, and there is a 25-square-meter garage as well. Facilities include air conditioning both in the living and in the sleeping area, an alarm system and gas heating.
Surroundings
Terrasini is a typical seafaring resort just a few kilometers far from Palermo. Its sunny streets flanked by little white houses end up in stunning panoramic viewpoints leading to beautiful beaches and bays, such as Cala Rossa, with its fine sand and transparent sea. Sandy and rocky beaches can be found both heading towards the East (Isola delle Femmine, Capaci, Marina di Cinisi, the Nature Reserve of Capo Gallo and Mondello, near Palermo) and the West (Balestrate, Trappeto, Alcamo Marina, Castellammare del Golfo). There is plenty to do in the surroundings: a day in Palermo between amazing monuments and museums, tasting delicious local street food in the ancient popular markets; a trip to Piana degli Albanesi, ancient Albanian colony, to eat the said-to-be best cannoli in Sicily; an excursion to the Zingaro Nature Reserve with its lush vegetation and beautiful sea, a swim into the transparent sea of San Vito Lo Capo or Scopello, a taste of fish cous cous or “trapanese” pasta in Trapani, the elegant city of salt and sail, a visit to the archaeological site of Segesta or the Medieval town of Erice, a delicious and inebriating tour of the wineries in the Baroque town of Marsala … Western Sicily is rich in stunning destinations and its atmosphere is lively and peaceful at the same time: an idyllic environment to live in indeed.
