Set close the golden seashore between Balestrate and Trappeto, not far from Palermo and the beautiful colors and landscapes of the Zingaro Nature Reserve, this pretty villa is perfect for people looking for peace and quiet, and a house that offers wide and comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces together with a strong typical Mediterranean personality.
This lovely villa is just one kilometer far from a large sandy beach, and the deep blue Tyrrhenian sea can be seen from its beautiful porch; in addition, the house is surrounded by a fascinating 1500-square-meter Mediterranean garden, rich in typical local plants and flowers – from palm and coconut to pine trees.
A quiet and relaxing atmosphere can be perceived all around. The splendid porch is really spacious, and it houses a wonderful country-style home-made outdoor kitchen (equipped with oven), decorated with traditional Sicilian ceramics, that will be absolutely perfect for al-fresco dining while enjoying the breezy atmosphere of the night. A swimming pool (10×5 meters) is set right in front of the porch and surrounded by plenty of space for sun beds and umbrellas, as well as shady lounge areas; an outdoor shower is available too.
Inside, the villa has the same fresh, light atmosphere of the whole area: a wide and welcoming living room with fireplace will be perfect for chilling after lunch, and a beautiful home-made kitchen with typical majolica tiles, according to the most traditional Sicilian furnishing, has just everything required for a delicious meal to be tasted in the elegant dining area. All five bedrooms (three double, a twin that can be turned into a double and a single) can be accessed through the living room: each room has its own charm and peculiarity, and there are two spacious bathrooms available, both with shower.
A covered parking (for 2 cars) is available at the back of the house. Facilities and comforts are high-quality, including solar panels on the roof; the house covers a surface of 150 square meters. And the beautiful deep blue sea is just one kilometer away, whereas the center of village with its markets, restaurants and shops is just three kilometers away.
Surroundings
The little seafaring town of Trappeto is located on the sandy seashore of the Eastern side of the Gulf of Castellammare, just 30 minutes far from Palermo and the most beautiful wonders of Western Sicily: the tiny hamlet of Scopello, with its typical Arab courtyards and the crystal-clear sea with the dramatic “faraglioni” rocks, the pretty San Vito Lo Capo, town of cous cous, with its stunning 3-kilometer-long sandy beach, and of course the breath-taking landscapes of the Zingaro Nature Reserve. The elegant city of Trapani with its romantic salt pans and windmills, as well as Marsala with its baroque city centre and the famous vineries, the Aegadian islands and the splendid touristic sights of the countryside – from the archaeological parks of Segesta and Selinunte to the Medieval hamlet of Erice are just a bunch of kilometers away. Palermo, the capital of Sicily with its magnificent monuments and interesting traditions, including one of the best street food traditions in the world, just waits to be discovered.
